Adden Lab Tsetse sensory ecology and neuroethology of viviparity

Andrea is an insect neuroethologist – fascinated by the plethora of astonishingly sophisticated insect behaviours, she studies how their tiny brains process the world and respond to external stimulation. She has studied a range of insect species, behaviours and sensory systems, from visual navigation in night-migratory moths to olfactory host-seeking in biting flies. Beyond research, Andrea is a passionate educator and enjoys passing on her enthusiasm for science to students and the wider community.
